Wills Ridley have worked on many steering gear/rudder retro fit projects. Even if the original steering gear is not from Wills Ridley, options can be given where the owners can keep as much of the existing system as possible (if the condition is satisfactory). It can be something simple like adding a Power pack to work with an auto pilot or replacing a rotary vane system with linear actuators (this is popular on the new explorer yachts).
An engineer can visit the vessel (globally), if required to conduct a survey to give a comprehensive quotation. Alternatively videos and photos can be sent and a conference call can be arranged if preferred.
